SIM card at Marrakech airport
Orange's prepaid SIM and eSIM prices, what the checkout wording asks you to show, and what is still missing for a counter at Menara.
On Orange's online shop, a prepaid SIM or eSIM is 20 MAD Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources, with 20 MAD of credit Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources for 30 days Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. English and French cards show that price as DH.
Data cards on the same page are 120 MAD, unlimited internet, 7 days Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources, 220 MAD, unlimited internet, 14 days Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources and 320 MAD, unlimited internet, 30 days Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources.
A physical card has free delivery inside Morocco Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. It is not in your hand at the aircraft door. An eSIM starts when you scan a QR code from the email Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources.
The checkout wording lists a passport, an identity card or a residence permit Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. A scanner note lists a national identity card or a residence permit Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources and does not mention a passport. The phone box asks for a Moroccan number starting 06, 07 or 05 Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources.
The shop never mentions a counter at Menara. If you do not see one after baggage reclaim, order on Wi-Fi, then take the ride into town.

How we checked
The prices were read on Orange's English prepaid page, French prepaid page and Arabic prepaid page. The 20 MAD Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources card is the same product in all three: a SIM, 20 of credit, 30 days Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. On the card the price is DH in English and French, and dirhams in Arabic. The English introduction also writes the included credit as MAD. The amount is the same.
The 120 and 220 cards use the name Marhaba in all three languages. The 320 card uses it in the English and French names. In Arabic the 320 card's name is the same as the 20 card's name. The short line under the Arabic 320 card still says Marhaba. The short line under the 20 card does not. Use the price and that short line.
Up to 3 months Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources sits under a heading about maximum validity, on its own, in all three languages. The pages do not say that heading replaces the days written on a card.
English and French put 5G/4G+ in that block, both as a network line and as a compatibility line. The Arabic block says 4G+ and does not say 5G Sources disagree Sources, and it has no compatibility line. The prices are not part of that split.
The five how-to steps ask for identification details and do not name a document there. The Arabic step says personal data. Checkout wording on the same pages does name documents: a passport, an identity card or a residence permit Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. On the French page the passport choice is left in English as Passport. The scanner message lists a national identity card or a residence permit Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. Those two lists are not the same. This was read from that wording, not from a finished order.
None of the three pages names Menara. ONDA's pages for the shops at the airport did not open, in a browser or by a direct request. Maroc Telecom and inwi were opened separately, and their prices are not on this page. Nothing here was seen at the airport.
At a glance
These are the cards on Orange's prepaid page. English and French show the price on the card as DH. Arabic writes it as dirhams. The figures below are those same amounts. The card text says unlimited internet. No data cap and no speed limit is written there.

Maroc Telecom and inwi each have their own shops and their own eSIM pages. A price from either one is Not yet confirmed on this page. So is a counter for any of the three inside the terminal.
Step by step
Our advice: do this before you leave the arrivals hall, while you can still turn back to a counter if the line does not connect.
- On the plane, or on Wi-Fi when you have it, open the English prepaid page or the French prepaid page. The address should be boutique.orange.ma.
- The line priced at 20 MAD Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources is the one whose text says it is a SIM, with 20 MAD of credit Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources for 30 days Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. The Marhaba cards are the other three prices on that page.
- Choose a physical SIM or an eSIM Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. A physical SIM has free delivery inside Morocco Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. It will not be in your hand when you step off the plane unless you already ordered it, or a counter sells you one. An eSIM starts when you scan a QR code from the email Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. That needs a phone that can use an eSIM, and a connection long enough to open the message. An identity document is requested when a physical card is delivered Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources.
- The checkout wording lists a passport, an identity card or a residence permit Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. A scanner note lists a national identity card or a residence permit Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources and does not mention a passport. The number box allows at most 10 characters Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. The name and address boxes ask for French keyboard letters Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. The phone box asks for a Moroccan number starting 06, 07 or 05 Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources, and it gives 10 digits Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. Bring the passport you travelled on, and read those lines before you pay.
- If a branded counter is open after baggage reclaim, ask them to show you the same four prices before you pay. This page cannot tell you the counter is there.
- Before you leave the counter, or before you close the email, switch the new line on and open one page. If it does not load, say so while you are still there.
- A later top-up, on Orange's own description, can be a bank card, Orange Money, or a top-up card Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources in the Max it space, or Orange Money from the phone Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources, or the number on a top-up card Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. Whether a counter takes a foreign card is not on the page.
- Then leave the terminal. The ride into the medina is in Marrakech airport to the medina. Landing at the other city is a different airport: Casablanca airport. A SIM guide for that terminal is not written yet.
Phrases, if you need them:
- La carte à 20 dirhams, et les cartes Marhaba, s'il vous plaît. The 20 dirham card, and the Marhaba cards, please.
- من فضلك، أريد أن أرى ثمن البطاقة قبل أن أدفع. I want to see the price of the card before I pay.
The edge case
You land late, the hall is quiet, and no counter is staffed. The online shop is still the page above. An eSIM still needs Wi-Fi, or some other connection, to receive the QR code. A phone that cannot use an eSIM is waiting on a physical card, which is delivered inside Morocco, not handed to you at the door of the aircraft.
Up to 3 months Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources sits under the heading about maximum validity. It is not the line on the card. The prepaid line says 30 days Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. The Marhaba cards say 7 days Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources, 14 days Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources and 30 days Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. Ask which clock you are buying. Do not treat the heading as extra days the card itself does not give you.
The pages do not say whether a Marhaba card is a new line or a top-up you add to the 20 MAD Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources SIM. If you only need data, point at the card and ask that question before you pay.
Ramadan is not mentioned on these pages. A night landing does not change these prices. It does change whether anyone is there to sell them, and that part is still open.
What to watch for
Our advice: keep the decision on the price you can read, and on the document line you can read.
- The address. These figures are on boutique.orange.ma. A page that sells a travel eSIM under another name is a different seller. This guide does not use those.
- A shop with Menara in the name. Menara is also a district. An Orange shop in that district is not the terminal you just landed at. Read the address.
- The Arabic title. The 20 card and the 320 card share one Arabic name. The short line under the 320 card still says Marhaba. The short line under the 20 card does not. The price and that short line are what separate them. English and French put Marhaba on the 120, 220 and 320 cards only.
- A headline about the network. English and French say 5G/4G+. Arabic says 4G+ and does not say 5G Sources disagree Sources. Do not choose the card because of that line.
- Two document lists. The menu names a passport, an identity card or a residence permit Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. The scanner names a national identity card or a residence permit Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. Read both before you pay.
- The phone box. It asks for a Moroccan number starting 06, 07 or 05 Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. A foreign number may not fit that box.
- Paying before the line works. Open a page while you can still speak to the person who sold it, or while the email is still on the screen.
- The other two networks. Maroc Telecom, also called Itissalat Al-Maghrib, and inwi sell lines of their own. Their prices are not copied here. Do not take a guessed price in their place.
Still being checked
Not yet confirmed, so not stated as fact on this page:
- Whether Orange, Maroc Telecom or inwi has a counter at Marrakech Menara, where it sits after baggage reclaim, and the hours, including a late landing.
- Starter prices, data amounts and eSIM terms on Maroc Telecom's own pages, and whether that operator lists a shop at the airport.
- Starter prices, data amounts and eSIM terms on inwi's own pages, and whether inwi lists a shop at the airport.
- Whether a foreign passport completes the order. The menu names a passport, an identity card or a residence permit Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. The scanner names a national identity card or a residence permit Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources. The number box allows at most 10 characters Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources.
- Whether the order can be finished without a Moroccan mobile number. The checkout text asks for a Moroccan number starting 06, 07 or 05 Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources.
- Whether up to 3 months Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources or the days on the card is the clock that ends the line.
- Whether a Marhaba card is a new SIM or a top-up on the 20 MAD Source-checked 26 Oct 2026 Sources line.
- Whether the terminal has Wi-Fi you can use to receive an eSIM email, and whether a foreign card works at a counter.
- English and French say 5G in the headline. Arabic says 4G+ and does not say 5G Sources disagree Sources.
